About this Chart
There are three reasonable interpretations of Polymarket volume, as defined below.
- Notional Volume: The number of contracts traded by takers each day. For example, if a taker buys 10 shares at $0.50, then the notional volume will be $10.
- Taker Volume: The dollar value of all volume traded by takers at the time of trade. The number of contracts traded is multiplied by the current price. This can also be referred to as "Taker Cash Flow Volume."
- Maker Volume: The dollar value of all volume traded by makers at the time of trade. The number of contracts traded is multiplied by the current price. This can also be referred to as "Maker Cash Flow Volume."
