Each address is classified into cohorts based on their all-time cumulative behavior across three dimensions. 

**Fee brackets** (0-0.01, 0.01-0.15, 0.15-1, 1-10, 10-100, 100+ USD) measure total gas fees spent, identifying economic commitment levels. 

**Transaction count brackets** (1, 1-10, 10-100, 100-1000, 1000+) capture engagement frequency and distinguish power users from casual participants.

**Value brackets** (0-0.1, 0.1-1, 1-10, 10-100, 100-1000, 1000+ HYPE) track total value transferred, revealing transaction size patterns.

These lifetime classifications remain stable for each address, while the daily metrics show how many addresses from each segment were active on any given day.

## Methodology

This table aggregates on-chain activity across HyperEVM grouped by project.

### Data Collection

Contract addresses are mapped to their respective projects, enabling protocol-level aggregation. Data coverage begins February 18, 2025 (HyperEVM launch).

### Core Metrics

**Transaction Activity**  
Transaction count tracks distinct on-chain interactions with project contracts. We segment transactions by success/failure status and calculate 30-day growth rates to identify momentum shifts.

**User Metrics**  
Active users represent unique wallet addresses transacting with project contracts. New user counts track first-time addresses interacting with each project, providing insights into user acquisition. Average daily metrics normalize activity across each project's lifespan to enable fair cross-protocol comparison.

**Real Economic Value (REV)**  
Fees represent the total gas costs paid by users transacting with project contracts. All fee calculations use daily HYPE/USD price data to provide accurate historical valuations.

**Volume**  
Protocol volume measures the aggregate HYPE token value transferred in transactions to project contracts (the `value` field). Volume excludes gas fees and focuses purely on transferred value.

### Growth Analysis

Growth rates compare 30-day periods (current vs. previous 30 days) to surface momentum across users, transactions, fees, and volume. 

HyperEVM: Protocol's Usage

**Methodology:**
* **Supply**: Tracks circulating supply of each LST based on mint/burn events from ERC-20 transfers; does not represent Total Value Locked (TVL) as some LSTs lack decoded contracts or publicly available staking data
* **Market Cap**: Calculated using HYPE token price as proxy; assumes 1:1 peg across all LSTs (actual exchange rates may vary)
* **Volume**: Aggregates daily ERC-20 transfer events; excludes mints, burns, and self-transfers
* **Smart contract holdings**: Volume might include contract-to-contract transfers (DEX trades, liquidity pools) which could inflate numbers
