Introducing Blockworks Intel

Tens of millions of assets are moving onchain, and AI agents will consume all of it. Intel is now live, running on one set of data that both your team and your agents can trust.

By Blockworks ·

Every stock, bond, currency and commodity is headed onchain. Stablecoins and tokenized treasuries are already there. Over time, every company will run its own finances onchain too. A platform like YouTube could pay its creators in stablecoins and offer yield on their balances through a vault.

That's a supply shock: the number of assets worth tracking goes from tens of thousands today to tens of millions.

AI is the demand shock. No fund can hire enough analysts to cover that many assets, so agents will do most of the diligence. They'll pull data through APIs overnight and have a draft memo ready before anyone gets to the office.

The data problem

Both shocks run into the same wall. Data on onchain assets is a mess.

A token unlock can sit on a public schedule for months, and investors still find out from the price chart. Prices live on one site and fundamentals on another. Disclosures, if a project publishes any, get buried in docs and Discord posts.

Analysts have made do for years with dozens of open tabs and a group chat. Hand that same setup to an agent covering 10,000 assets and you get 10,000 confident, wrong answers.

Our mission at Blockworks is to build trust in onchain markets, which means getting the data right first. Analysts and agents both need to see how an asset makes money, who's behind it, what's been disclosed and what changed overnight, with a source for each.

We've pulled all of it into one set of data models, indexed and maintained in-house by our data team. Starting today, your team can use it in Blockworks Intel. Agents can pull the same data through the Blockworks Unified API or our MCP server, and the numbers match everywhere.

What's in Intel

Most teams don't have agents of their own yet, so we built Blockworks AI into Intel. Type the screen you want in plain English and it sets up the filters across 40,000+ assets, using data like 30-day revenue, unlock schedules, developer activity, mindshare and sentiment. You can screen investors, funding rounds, M&A and funds the same way.

When it's time to write the memo, pick an asset, attach any documents you want it to read, and deep research drafts a structured underwriting report in a few minutes. Every paragraph is cited, so you can check the work before it goes to your IC. You can version the report and export it to PDF.

Intel keeps watching after you've made the call. AI flags developments across 1,000+ assets from 700+ sources, and our analysts check each one before it's marked verified. Alerts go out by email, Slack or Telegram, or by webhook into your own systems. You hear about the next big unlock before it shows up in the price.

The data underneath

Everything in Intel runs on the Blockworks dataset: 1,800+ curated metrics across 250+ projects and 38 chains. We created some of them, including REV, which is now the number people argue about in L1 valuation debates.

Each asset gets a project page with price and trading data next to fundamentals, unlock countdowns, disclosures and quarterly updates. It's one link you can send to anyone on your team.

A lot of what matters never shows up onchain. Token Disclosures fill that in: how the foundation and labs are set up, governance and token rights, market maker agreements, prior sales and fundraising, and exploit history. If an issuer hasn't disclosed something, the page marks it as a gap. We've published 178 so far, with more on the way.

When you want an analyst's take, the research library has 8,000+ reports going back to 2018, and you can listen to any of them.

If you're building agents

The Blockworks Unified API gives you all the data behind Intel with one key. A catalog of every dataset, column and filter lets an agent work out what's available on its own, and nobody has to write the integration by hand.

Our MCP server works in Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT and Cursor. You sign in through your browser and there's nothing to install. If you'd rather have the data in your own warehouse, we can set up a Snowflake datashare.

What's next

When we bought Messari in June, we said the two companies would become one platform. With Intel and the Unified API live, they are.

Long term, we want Blockworks data running inside the apps and agents everyone else builds, and we'll keep adding to it as more of the world moves onchain.
